She reads from her autobiographical debut. „It's good that you're no longer there.“ and speaks in conversation with Stefanie Salziger about the topics that shaped the book—a work that shortly after its publication became SPIEGEL bestseller was.
In „It's good that you're no longer there.“ Franziska Hohmann describes a childhood marked by responsibility, guilt, and emotional dependence, recounting early coping strategies and a gradual path out of addiction and self-doubt. At the same time, she describes how she managed to reorient herself, set boundaries, and no longer see her own history as a burden, but as part of a self-determined life.
Reading and talk focus on issues such as family influences, mental health, resilience, and self-care—an evening that encourages reflection and creates space for exchange.
As always, the event will be accompanied by Bubbles & Beats in the special atmosphere of LIVING BERLIN. The Book Arc Berlin will be there with a book table – the book and other selected titles will be available for purchase afterwards.
